Feng Shui, also called the Chinese Art of Placement, is a Chinese system that is thousands of years old to bring balance to one’s home or business. Our lives are closely interwoven with the universe and nature. The force that links humans to their surroundings is called ch’i (cosmic or vital breath). Each of us possesses ch’i as does everything around us. Our ch’i can influence the self, others and our environs and vice versa. The closer the environmental factor, the greater the impact it can have on the eight life areas of Feng Shui, which are: wealth, health, career, relationships, fame, family, creativity and friends. If ch’i does not flow smoothly or if there are negative aspects present in the life area, there can be negative impact on our emotional and physical health. A consultation provides a blueprint of where negative aspects or blocked ch’i exists and then suggests “cures” to alleviate the problem. The cures range from ancient esoteric modalities to technological solutions of the current day. No matter, the aim of Feng Shui is still the same as it was thousands of years ago – the creation of a more balanced, harmonious place to live and work.
